daydreamerswish hi! I'm daydreamerswish and I just joined your community! I really hope to make good friends with all of you ^-^

o.k. !  I have a really important  question for ALL of you:

umm.....have any of you ever seen the show "queer as folk"?  and if so,
how happy are you with the ending of QaF? Because I was really  heartbroken by the ending :'(
now I know you all are probable thinking "what's this girls problem, Doesn't she know that show is six years over?"

and I know it is, but I only just found out about the show and how it ended and it seriously broke my heart into the tiniest little  pieces you can imagine :-(  and I  was trying to be strong and not let it effect me but I can not fight it, its just too sad and I just don't like being sad (who does? ) anyway, I was wondering if you all would pretty, pretty, pretty please with pink sugar on top help me petition for a season 6 and or movie!? ^-^

I really need your HELP!!!

I really think it can happen I mean, think about it! They are having a convention in Germany and that means  The cast of the show will all have to look over most of the five years of the show, you know the script, they will all  probably  be doing a lot of reminiscing ;-) and that would be great! If we can contact the producers before  the convention and ask them about it I'm sure they'll listen, after all, a lot of people did not like the ending! ( And I should know, I read a lot of posts from people just like me who were vary heartbroken with the way it ended ) the fact that Brian let Justin move to new York, that Brian lost his son ugh! just too sad however, the fact that club Babylon  re-opened at the end,I believe, lets us know that the party is not over, but who cares about a party that they're  not invited to right? I mean even if Brian and Justin are still together  we don't really get to know it  and I at least, need that closure. What they  had was SPECIAL !  and  that deserves  to be protected! What they had was TRUE LOVE  and it needs to live forever!

I don't know if the writers of QaF  realize it or not, but they had, have and will always have the ability to capture love and present it on screen through actors and actresses and that is MAGIC! That is a GIFT! And that is why after six years of the show being off-air the show still has so much pull on us! And still has such a big fan following The show resonated in the hearts of people around the world,in the hearts of lovers, in the hearts of hopeless romantics  and in the hearts of lovely day-dreamers like me who dream of the day we meet our soul mates! ^-^

to give you a better grasp of why I feel like this I'll tell you a little about myself o.k.? ^-^

when I was much younger I always watched movies and cartoons with "warm and fuzzy" themes and I know most people call them" fairytales" but I think they are actually wonderful example of what we should expect from life:that in the end love prevails, justice rules supreme and everyone lives happily ever after! ^-^ now that I'm older I still watch these types of movies both animated and live action and my feelings for that kind of life have grown ever stronger! My heart was full of happiness and joy, empathy and kindness, hope and love and it still is however now it has a measure of sadness and sorrow and it got that way after I experienced  my first heart break and it was a most devastating thing for me.

it was in 1996 when I was eleven years old and  I watched a six year old  movie named "Edward scissorhands" and at first everything was going good and although Edward ( Johnny Depp ) did not look like your typical "prince charming" he was! And as the movie progresses he meets and falls in love with a young girl named Kim ( Winona Ryder ) that was the good part! However, things take a turn for the worst and  at the end even after confessing her love for him they DO NOT!  stay together and they DO NOT! Live happily ever after! ( and the end was just so sad I can't even think about it without getting all choked up! ) well for an entire week after watching it I was severely hurt and I could not function right, I could not think straight, I felt like I was dazed and  in a constant state of confusion and nothing felt real anymore it was like I was someone else! I guess I made it on auto-pilot or something. My poor little heart was shattered :'(  but as time whent on it got kinda better I guess and my heart was beginning to mend  itself and I had almost forgot the pain I was in, that was untill however, in 2003 when I was eighteen years old that I watched a six year old  movie named "titanic"  (   which I had no idea what the movie was about, my dad just rented one day ) a movie I'm sure  needs no introduction from me and I'm sure I don't need to tell you why it nearly KILLED ME!  I could not see how such a perfect love could be gone just like that !? Its just not fair! And poor rose, I don't understand how she made it , she most have been VARY STRONG! I do not believe I could ever be THAT strong, well needless to say I was not o.k. After this one either, the same thing as before happened again, but this time it was a little easier, my heart was a little stronger for having been broke once before,it kinda knew how to put itself back together better and the healing process was maybe a nano second faster !  ^-^  well now we can flash forward to the present to the year 2012 I am now twenty-six years old and my poor little heart is shattered all over again, it was in early February  that I was on you tube and I was re-directed to a clip of queer as folk, so I watched it but it was in Italian so did not even know it was queer as folk at the time and maybe one or two days later I saw  another clip this time in English and I thought" haven't I seen these to before?" ( it was Brian and Justin) and it hit me! They were the ones I saw in the Italian video! So I read some posts and from what i read they had a great and epic relationship so I watched maybe five or six one minute videos and I began reading  posts  that made it seem like they did not stay together, my heart immediately sank!!! So I frantically  searched for the video that would explain weather or not they stay together and I have not seen the last episode yet  ( and I'm not sure if I will ever be strong enough to ) but it is immensely clear to me that they DO NOT! Stay together!!! Even though I have not seen the whole episode, I did see the ending and poor Brian dancing all alone.... While everyone else  is happy. I  just don't get it? Why didn't the writers think they should stay together?! *sigh* I just can't believe it!. You see I'm in love with love that's it! I just want everyone to be happy and in love! That's all, its not asking too much is it ? ^-^

well there you go, that's why I feel the way I do! And I'm sorry, I know I said I would tell you a "little" about myself but it turned into a lot  about myself, so sorry >.<

but yeah I would really appreciate your help and support ! ^-^

and before you make up your mind, please consider my feelings and if this letter has at all moved or touched you in any way, please let it be those feelings that help you make your mind....and please say yes! Tee-hee ^-^

sincerely
your new friend,
daydreamerswish ^-^

p.s. I'm from Michigan too! But I'm from cutlerville not Lansing  Tee-hee ^-^

oh! Btw the reason I said we should contact the producers "before" the convention is so maybe they would announce it during the convention which I think would be vary cool! And we may catch them in a really good mood too, which could not hurt right?
o.k. That's all for now take care  and I'll  talk to you soon, I'll be waiting with my fingers crossed ^-^

dtc89 Hello everyone,
I'm a local blooming photographer working with a model on a book raising awareness for eating disorders. Everyone has met someone who has issues dealing with their image they take out inappropriately on their diet. This causes intense mayhem and discord within said persons psyche and battles the physical crying out their body screams for with undying self-loathing, drowning their thoughts and crippling their lives.
If you would like to say something, save someone, or start showing your struggle, please get ahold of me at davechrenko@gmail.com. We're all here together, lets pull ourselves out of despondency and shine.

4:46 pm - Lansing Dog Lost

ready4anythiny

She is a one year old blue healer lab mix. Brown with black spotting. She has a red lease and collar and a pink paw print bandanna. She was lost on 9/03 around 6:30-7pm at the Dover's crossing apartment complex in Lansing MI near Dunckel and Jolly roads. She is micro-chipped, but doesn't have any tags on. She is sweet, but very very shy. She also has a green line tattoo on her stomach from when she was spayed. That's a lot of local information, but if you live near the area and have any information even if you just think you might have seen her please respond or call 1-517-243-1677

The Gender Public Advocacy Coalition is pleased to announce the release of its 2008 GENIUS Survey in partnership with Ernst & Young. GenderPAC works to ensure that classrooms, communities and workplaces are safe for everyone to learn, grow and succeed.

The Gender Equality National Index for Universities & Schools (GENIUS), GenderPAC’s most recent effort to end discrimination and promote awareness, encourages colleges and universities to recognize the benefits of a GenderSAFE campus - supportive equitable and protective for all students. Choosing to participate in GENUIS sends a strong public statement that bullying or discriminating based on the race, sex or gender of a student, faculty, or staff member is not tolerated at your institution

Fill out the survey at: www.gpac.org/GENIUS2008survey, and make sure that we have data for as many schools as possible. Your voice will help us continue to work towards a safe and welcoming environment for every student

COMMUNITY ALERT ABOUT A RECENT HATE CRIME

PLEASE POST WIDELY

An open letter to our communities from “Elliott” (a pseudonym), Kate Loewe stopsexualviolence@riseup.net), Kathy Ni Keefe (nikeefe@riseup.net), Samuel Lurie (slurie@gmavt.net), and Eli Clare (eclare@gmavt.net):

We are writing to let our communities know about a recent hate crime that occurred in New Mexico. We are writing to break silence, to create resistance to violence and space for healing, and to build support for the survivor. We are writing in hopes that we can take care of each other, undercut the community-wide fear that comes with hate violence, and work toward justice.

Please note that what follows contains some graphic details, which could be triggering. Also, the survivor is a parent of two children, and this information MUST NOT reach them.
